Searching through the tuesday paper, Arien stopped herself from turning the page when an add caught her attention: '6 Horses in search of Good Home - Many Colors Present - Adoptions Available until next Wednesday' Checking the date she found that the end of the adoptions was tomorrow.

Horrified, she yelled, "Ripley! Get the truck and trailer ready! We're going for a road trip!"

Reaching their destination late in the evening, just as the sun was sinking below the horizon leaving streaks of color in the sky, both of them were tired but glad they had made it. Getting out of the vehicle and stretching their sore muscles, they made their way toward the barns.

"So... What are we here for?"

"To see if we can give a horse a good home."

"Ah, okay... There, I think I see them."

The outdoor paddocks were occupied by some horses, and a quick count revealed six of them. There were three stallions and three mares, Arien quickly scanned the stallions and turned her full attention to the mares. Several of them had been singled out and put in solitary paddocks, 'Awaiting their new owners...' she thought to herself.

"Oh, look at that one!" Ripley exclaimed and she followed his gaze.

A mare stood slightly off from the rest, trying her best to crop the grass between the fence poles. Neck stretched far out in hopes of getting some of the green blades. Her coat shimmered under the sinking sun, and her dark mane in contrast made her stand out even more.

"Hello!" A voice tugged their attention away, and they watched as several people approached. Perhaps the ones who had put the add up. Arien hoped that the mare was still available. With a smile and a 'hello' she approached the people with her request of owning the blood bay mare.

"Hello! I saw your add in the paper a little late, heh, and I decided to come down and have a look-see. Now, please tell me that the mare- the blood bay- is still available?"

Arien could not have said the words fast enough. The people looked at one another, before shaking their heads and turning back to the tired duo replied: "She's still up for grabs. Would you like to know more about her fir--"

"Does she have a name?"

"She came with no name when we found her, but we found one that suited her. Senhora."

"I think I'll keep that name, it's very unique... We'll take her! Ripley, go back and fetch the trailer. I'll find out all about her back home."

Meaning: Portugese title equivilant to Mrs.

Markings: A blaze, a sock and a stocking.
Description: A deep rich red, chestnutty tone that suits her personality in every way. Legs were first dipped in darker tones of cocoa brown, and two of four got a second coat of white. A strip of white coats her muzzle and up the bridge of her nose.
Disciplines: Brood, and hopeful in Harness.
Persona: Dedicated, and well behaved on her good days. As for the other days- she'll take your patience to the limit. If your trying to get her to do anything on a good day, she do it no problem; however, on a not-so-good day, she'll do her best to break you. For example, if you're trying to bring her in from the paddock, she'll either a) obey and be placid or b) waste about half your day as you try to bring her in. Well behaved for the most part, yet she has a streak in her that maintains a steady amount of energy that you will never be able to work out of her. Playful and adoring, she is one mare that loves to be adored. As well as she cunning ability to be able to pick-pocket your belongings, and open the gate when you are not looking.
